What's your privacy policy?

Slugline for iOS/iPadOS and macOS are traditinal applications that run locally on your device, with or without an internet connection. We make the apps, you use them according to Apple’s End User License Agreement, and whatever you make with them is yours.

We don’t see your writing, and we don’t want to.

Your words are yours, and we never see them. When you link Slugline for iOS to Dropbox or iCloud, that connection happens locally on your device, and we don’t get involved.

If you’ve opted in, we get anonymized crash reports from Apple.

When you set up your Mac or iOS device, you were asked if you’d share anonymized crash reports with app developers. If you opted in to this, we thank you, because those crash reports are very useful to us. They don’t contain any uniquely identifying information, and they never contain any of your writing.

If you sign up for our mailing list, we might email you.

Very rarely though, only when there’s something we think you’ll be genuinely interested in, like a sale or a significant update. We’ll never share your email address with anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time.

If you file a bug, we might ask to see your document.

Sometimes it’s helpful for us to have access to your document when we’re trying to resolve a bug you’ve reported. We are grateful for every bug report, and we only ask to see your file when we’ve exhausted all other options. We take this very seriously, and we have a clear and simple policy about it here.
